For many years now Lela Scherrer has run a studio for fashion and concept design in Antwerp and Basel. Her season-independent and tailor-made collection makes the claim of being “clothing without expiry date”. Among Lela’s clients are a French fashion house, the Antwerp Six designers of Walter van Beirendonck and Dries van Noten, companies like ELLE, and numerous retail brands. Aside from that Lela designs collections for interior architecture and costumes for theatre companies. She advises retailers on design research. She is also guest lecturer at various art and design universities at home and abroad. As trained fashion designer she is jury member for multiple design committees and competitions.
