The research project KUORI has taken many steps in the last few months. We intensified our R&D, expanded our team, created a website, and enlarged our partnership network.
Since the start of the official research phase in September 2021, we could achieve many of our milestones. We conducted successful patent research with the IGE financed by Creative Hub. After that, we could start our intensive research at the Institute for Polymer Processing and Sustainability (IKT), and we are currently testing several material prototypes. We also welcomed a new team member, Tobias, who completes our core team as a material scientist, and we are further supported by the semester thesis of the mechanical engineering student Lucca and the ideas of fashion design student Marie.
Another reason to cheer is the successful setup of our website and social media presence. You can now find us on www.kuori.ch and as kuori.material on Instagram and LinkedIn!
We want to thank our graphic designer Benjamin, IT developers Florian and Nicolas as well as our illustrator Simon for their great work. We are looking forward to keeping you all posted on our new official KUORI channels.
Looking ahead, we regret that the amazing work of the Creative Hub Team comes to an end and that we can no longer count on the fantastic support of their broad network of coaches. We are very grateful for all the opportunities they created for us and hope to leverage this experience for our further development in the future. Our dear main coach Michel will surely remain our call whenever we need an open ear or critical questions.
Of course, we already have many plans for 2022. We have established a partnership with a shoe producer who would like to support us in the production of a small test series of our first material prototype. Furthermore, we will conduct a Life Cycle Assessment to critically analyse the environmental footprint of our product to detect areas for improvement. And naturally, we are always on the lookout for continued financial support by foundations or investors.
