Streax at DIGITAL SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT 2020 in Berlin

On September 14, 2020, the DIGITAL SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT conference organized by the ESB Marketing Network took place in Berlin at the Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt. Despite the hybrid format of the conference (digital and physical), Streax performed physically on site. The day was intense and included top-class guests from marketing, sponsoring, sports and eSports. The following week in Berlin was used to develop further business relationships in Germany.
It started straight away at 9:00 a.m. in the beautiful Steigenberger Hotel, and the former call-of-duty world champion moderated the first talk on eSports, which was followed by a series of presentations which touched on such topics as digitalization of traditional sports clubs (ice hockey, tennis, volleyball and, of course, football). Solutions to the problems regarding digitization of traditional sports were discussed, e.g. supporting apps upon visiting stadiums or - especially in the time of Corona - simply choosing virtual formats or marketing channels (eSports). The excellent organization of the event made it easy to get in touch with decision-makers. For the time being, our address book in the area of sports marketing is full and there are a few hot leads for possibly larger projects that we will pursue.
We used the rest of the week to evaluate Berlin as a possible location of business. The city pulsates with exciting gaming companies, well-funded venture investors in the eSports and gaming sector, and attractive, moderate living costs. Another series of meetings from several dozen customer leads contacted in advance is intended to promote direct sales of our products. Due to the Corona virus, a few of the scheduled meetings of the week ended via a video call. In any case, the first steps have been successfully taken in order to further enrich the new partners physically in Berlin with our offers in the future.
