FEEL A FIL launches craft box for children: HAPTIKIT – to combat Covid-boredom!

During the ongoing lockdown due to the pandemic, the patience of children and parents is being severely tested. How can children keep themselves busy at home in a meaningful and enjoyable way? HAPTIKIT is the solution!

The monthly craft box from the young start-up FEEL A FIL delivers a new craft idea along with instructions and the necessary materials directly to your home every month. The kit can be purchased as a single box for CHF 35 or as a subscription starting at CHF 99. The first boxes were distributed at the beginning of March. In the April box, a flock of wild hens can be made just in time for Easter.

In a playful way, HAPTIKIT invites children to discover materials and strengthens the development of their sense of touch. The joy of exploring is sparked and the curiosity for the environment and materials gets ignited. For a sustainable development of the child!

"With HAPTIKIT, I want to encourage children's sensory skills and creativity while providing an exciting activity to do at home. Uncomplicated, completely thought-out delivered to your home, so parents don't have to worry about anything," says founder Selina Peyer.

The HAPTIKIT boxes are designed to suit the child's abilities. Our first age category ELEPHANT was developed especially for children between 5-7 years and includes a playful craft activity and promotes first creative experiences. Further boxes for older as well as younger children are in the planning stage.

The product design label FEEL A FIL was founded in March 2019 by textile designer Selina Peyer. FEEL A FIL re-sensitises life! The young start-up connects, moves and puts the haptics in its products in the forefront. As a subject teacher for textile crafts at a primary school, Selina Peyer knows the importance of sensory education for children and combines her two worlds with HAPTIKIT - for a sustainable sensory development of children. FEEL A FIL is part of the current coaching programme of Creative Hub Switzerland.
